Table 4, Notes on "Engine Does Not Start"

 

Table 4 lists the tests required for when TECH 1 receives data from the control unit, no trouble codes are stored, but the engine still does not start.

 

·     Connect TECH 80

 

       After vehicle identification, select test program "Workshop Test"

 

In this display, all information required for correct starting of the engine is collected, evaluated and displayed.

 

If there is no OPEL / VAUXHALL tester available, carry out the following checks:

 

·     Battery (see also F0: DATA LIST, test step 01)

 

·     Starter

 

·     Compression

 

·     Primary voltage

 

·     Secondary voltage

 

·     CO and CH measurements

 

·     Fuel pump relay (see also F0: DATA LIST, test step 23)

 

·     Injectors relay (see also Table 1; ALDL Diagnostic Plug, Voltage Supply and Auxiliary Fan for Electronics Box, Check)

 

·     Injection signal (see also F0: DATA LIST, test step 59 and F8: ECU CONTROL, test step 03)

 

·     Engine speed signal from inductive pulse pick - up (see auch F0: DATA LIST, test step 38)

 

·     Signal from Hall sensor (see F0: DATA LIST, test step 10)
