This check can be performed in
two operating conditions: "ignition ON, engine off" and
"engine running at idle speed".

|
The first part of the check
should be carried out if the engine cannot be started:
otherwise the second part allows
accurate diagnosis.

Check 1:
|
|
|
Ignition ON
|
|
|
Engine OFF
|
|
|
AC switch ON
|
|
|
Press F5 in the system main
menu, select desired test with arrow keys and confirm with YES. Follow
instructions in the TECH 1 display.

The AC cutoff relay switches
alternately:
INACTIVE 12V
ACTIVE 0V
|
|
Note:
|
|
|
The AC cutoff relay is actuated
at a frequency of 0.5 Hz (actuation duration 1 s).
|
|
|
The check is completed after a
maximum of 30 s.
|
Noise check:
