A / C CUTOFF RELAY

Vehicles with AC:

 

This test can be performed in two operating conditions: "ignition On, engine Off" and engine running at idle speed"

The first part of the test should be performed if it is not possible to start the engine; otherwise the second part allows certain diagnosis

 

Test 1:

Ignition On

Engine Off

AC switch On

 

Press key F5 in the system main menu, select the desired test using the arrow keys and confirm with Yes.

Follow the instructions in the TECH 1 display

 

Note:

The AC cutoff relay is actuated at a frequency of 0.5 Hz

The test is completed after a maximum of 30 s

 

 

Test 2:

Engine running at idle speed

AC switch On

 

Press key F5 in the system main menu, select the desired test using the arrow keys and confirm with Yes.

Noise check:

clicking noise from relay

 

TECH 1 display shows alternately:

INACTIVE

                12 V

ACTIVE    0 V

 

 

 

 

 

Follow the instructions in the TECH 1 display

 

Note:

The AC cutoff relay is actuated at a frequency of 0.5 Hz

The test is completed after a maximum of 30 s

TECH 1 display shows alternately:

INACTIVE

                12 V

ACTIVE    0 V

 

AC compressor switches On and Off (clicking noise from compressor and from relay)
