Reverse Polarity Protection Relay, Remove and Install

Note:   Reverse polarity protection relay and fuel pump relay must not be swapped.

  Remove

Disconnect ground cable from battery.

For Y 22 XE and Z 22 XE: Open fuse carrier cover and unclip fuse carrier from relay bracket.

Open relay frame cover.

For X 20 XEV: Pull out reverse battery protection relay (1) from socket.

For Y 22 XE and Z 22 XE: Pull out reverse battery protection relay (2) from socket.

 Object Number: 2414853 Size: DEFAULT

  Install

Insert reverse polarity protection relay in socket – ensure correct plug contacts.

Close relay frame cover.

For Y 22 XE and Z 22 XE: Clip fuse carrier to relay bracket and close fuse carrier cover.

Connect ground cable to battery.
