New 20 SE, X 20 SE OHC Petrol Engine
The basis for this engine is the tried and tested C 20 NE OHC petrol engine from previous production.
The main differences are as follows:
- Motronic M 1.5.4 injection system, - DIS ignition module (direct ignition), - Knock control, - Exhaust gas recirculation system, - Modified camshaft housing cover, - Heat sleeves in conjunction with new spark plug connectors.
An electronically controlled exhaust gas recirculation system (EGR) has been introduced to conform to the strict limits. This sucks up up to 1 5 % of the exhaust gasses and returns them to the combustion process.
