Remove engine – see operation "Engine, Remove and Install". Remove engine bracket from cylinder block. Mount engine with Adapters KM-412-8-A on Assembly Stands KM-412.

Open oil drain bolt – place collecting basin underneath.

Remove cylinder head – see operation "Cylinder Head, Remove and Install". Remove centring sleeves from cylinder block.

Disconnect cable connections from alternator. Remove alternator with alternator bracket from cylinder block.

Disconnect wiring harness plug (1) from oil pressure switch. Detach ground cable (2) from cylinder block.

Disconnect cable connections (1) from starter. Detach wiring harness plug (2) from knock sensor – remove wiring harness.

Remove starter support and starter from cylinder block.

Detach coolant hose from cylinder block.

Remove knock sensor from cylinder block.

Remove toothed belt tension roller from oil pump. Remove toothed belt drive gear – counterhold with KM-662-C. Remove rear toothed belt cover from oil pump.

Detach coolant pump from cylinder block.

Remove auxiliary aggregates support from cylinder block.

Remove crankshaft pulse pick-up from cylinder block.

Remove crankcase vent flange from cylinder block.

Detach engine support from cylinder block.

Remove oil pan and oil pump – see operation "Oil Pump, Remove and Install".

Remove crankshaft needle bearing from crankshaft with KM-328-B (1).

  Inspect

Check all parts for damage and wear.
