If present: Remove wiring harness plug (1) for dynamic oil level control.

Open oil drain bolt – place collecting basin underneath.

Detach engine brackets from engine damping blocks. Attach Engine Lifter KM-263-B to front engine transport shackle and raise engine. Remove right (in direction of travel) engine support from transmission and cylinder block.

Remove oil pan from oil pump and cylinder block, use KM-J-37228 if necessary – to do this work from the engine timing side in the direction of the transmission.

Remove oil intake pipe (2) from oil pump and cylinder block. Remove oil baffle plate.

  Clean

Clean sealing surfaces and remove gasket remnants.

Apply a bead of adhesive sealing compound (black) to joints of oil pump and rear crankshaft bearing cap. Attach new oil baffle plate.

Attach oil intake pipe to oil pump – tightening torque 8 Nm / 6 lbf. ft. Re-cut bolts before re-use and insert with screw locking compound (red). Max. assembly time including torque check is 10 min.

Attach oil intake pipe bracket to cylinder block – tightening torque 6 Nm / 4 lbf. ft.

Attach oil pan (1) to oil pump and cylinder block – tightening torque 8 Nm / 6 lbf. ft. Re-cut bolts before re-use and insert with screw locking compound (red). Max. assembly time including torque check is 10 min.

Attach engine support to transmission and cylinder block – tightening torque 40 Nm / 29.5 lbf. ft.

Lower engine, remove Engine Lifter KM-263-B.

Attach engine damping block to engine bracket – tightening torque 40 Nm / 29.5 lbf. ft.

Ensure that lug (1) on engine damping block engages in aperture in engine bracket.

Attach oil drain bolt to oil pan with new seal ring – tightening torque 55 Nm / 40.6 lbf. ft.

Fill engine oil up to "MAX" mark on dipstick.

If present: Connect wiring harness plug for dynamic oil level control.
