Disassemble
Disassemble transmission – see operation "Transmission,
Disassemble and Assemble".
Remove
Reverse gear pawl, 1 screw to right transmission side.

Pull reverse gear pawl with spring out of front section of
transmission housing in direction of arrow.
|
|
Remove
Shift lever shaft guide bearing from transmission, KM-556-1 and
Kukko 21-2.
When doing this, the bearing is always destroyed and must be
replaced.

|
Only necessary when replacing: pull front bearing bushing for
auxiliary shaft gear cluster out of transmission using KM-556-1 (1)
and Kukko 21/4 (2).

|
Press bearing of main drive gear out of transmission using
suitable sleeve.
|
|
Caution
When replacing the following parts, determine axial play of
auxiliary shaft gear cluster: front section of transmission
housing, transmission nose piece, auxiliary shaft gear cluster
and/or roller bushing – see operation "Axial Play of
Auxiliary Shaft Gear Cluster, Determine" in this group.
Install
Drive new front roller bushing (1) flush in using suitable pipe
(2) or KM-302 and KM-370 (installed as nose piece).

Drive guide bearing for shift lever shaft flush into
transmission using KM-409-A (1).
Reverse gear pawl with spring into transmission.
Insert one end of spring at transmission housing (3) and one end
at angle of pawl (2).

Torque
Reverse gear hex bolt to front section of transmission housing
(right transmission side) – 10 Nm / 7 lbf. ft.
Assemble
Assemble transmission, see operation "Transmission, Disassemble
and Assemble".
