Disassemble transmission – see operation "Transmission,
Disassemble and Assemble".
Disassemble transmission nose piece:
Knock out closure plugs for locking pins from transmission
housing nose piece using KM-630-2 (1) and KM-328-B (2).
Illustration H 0195 shows procedure for main shaft already
removed.
Remove 2 locking pins (arrows) from bore hole in transmission
using bar magnet.

Transmission nose piece.
Knock both closure plugs for pressure pin out of selector rocker
using KM-630 (2) and KM-328-B (1).
Remove in sequence springs and pins
– different lengths:
|
3 shorter springs (blue)
|
|
4 longer springs (green)
|
|
|
|
 Remove
Lever out seal ring of shift lever shaft – do not damage
seal ring seat in nose piece.
|
|
|
Retaining ring of selector rocker, retaining ring pliers.
|
|
|
Selector rocker from transmission, note spacers.
|
|
|
Only necessary when replacing: Roller bushing for auxiliary
shaft gear cluster, KM-556-2, Kukko 21/2
If necessary, heat nose piece in the area of the bearing seat to
approx. 80 °C – use thermocolour pencils or suitable
temperature gauge.
|
|
|
Lever seal ring out of transmission nose piece.
Do not damage seal ring seat in nose piece.
|
|
Install
|
Insert selector rocker with spacers in bore hole in transmission
nose piece.
|
|
|
Install outer spacer and retaining ring using retaining ring
pliers.
|
|
|
Insert pressure pin for selector disc with springs into
transmission.
Caution
Springs are colour coded:
|
1 = shorter spring (blue)
|
|
2 = longer spring (green)
|
|
|
|
Drive in closure plugs using plastic mallet.
Only if removed: before installing new roller bushing for
auxiliary shaft gear cluster determine axial play of auxiliary
shaft gear cluster – see operation "Axial Play of Auxiliary
Shaft Gear Cluster, Determine" in this group.
Assemble
Assemble transmission, see operation "Transmission, Disassemble
and Assemble".
