The data connection between TECH 1 and the control unit may be interrupted when the ignition is switched on or off. The connection should however be re-established after a maximum of 45 s.

Notes on Trouble-shooting:

Cause of Fault:

(If nominal value is not attained)

 
·   Release and disconnect wiring harness plug K94 from ATWS control unit

 

 
·   Switch on ignition

 

 
·   Using multimeter, measure battery voltage

greater than 9 volts

·   Body wiring harness, interruption

     from:    ignition lock S1/Ter. 15

     to:         wiring harness plug K94/Ter. 30

 
If nominal values are attained:

 

·   Control unit K94 defective
