Note:

 

The LED is actuated at a frequency of

0.5 Hz (switch-on time 1s).

The check is completed after a maximum of 30 s.

Notes on Trouble-shooting:

Remove interior monitor button S86

 

 

·   Using multimeter, measure resistance

approx. 0 W

·   Instrument panel wiring harness, interruption

     from:    S86/Ter. 1

     to:         ground

 

 

·   Using multimeter, measure voltage

 

 

·   Start actuator test

alternately

0 volts

and

12 volts

·   Instrument panel wiring harness, interruption/short circuit

     from:    K94/Ter. 39

     to:         S86/Ter. 4

 

 

·   Control unit K94 defective

 

 

If nominal values are attained:

 

·   Interior monitor button S86 defective
