Start actuator test

 

 

Note:

 

The horn is actuated at a frequency of

0.8 Hz (switch-on time 0.2 s).

The check is completed after a maximum of 5 cycles.

Notes on Trouble-shooting:

Cause of Fault:

(If nominal value is not attained)

 

·   Release and disconnect wiring harness plug from anti-theft warning system horn H47

 

 

·   Using multimeter, measure voltage

approx. 12 volts

·   Instrument panel wiring harness, interruption

     from:    H47/(RT)

     to:         Ter. 30

 

 

·   Using multimeter, measure voltage

 

 

·   Start actuator test

alternately

0 volts

and

12 volts

·   Instrument panel wiring harness, interruption/short circuit

     from:    K94/Ter. 36

     to:         H47/(BRRT)

 

 

·   Control unit K94 defective

 

 

If nominal values are attained:

 

·   Horn H47 defective
