General Safety Measures and Repair Instructions
Safety Measures:
Never disconnect or connect wiring harness plugs from / to control units with the ignition switched on.
Disconnect battery from the vehicle electrical system before charging or quick - charging. Never use a quick - charger for starting. Caution when touching voltage - bearing parts of the ignition system. When removing / installing components from / to engine / transmission, ensure that the ground connections from the engine / transmission to the battery are reconnected. Poor or missing ground connections can lead to destruction of internal parts of the control unit.
Remove control units at temperatures higher than 80 °C / 176 °F (drying ovens).
Repair Instructions:
After disconnecting the battery, reprogram
· clock · Triple / Multi Info Display electronic window winders · radio stations (coding),
if necessary.
