Notes on Trouble-shooting:
Nominal Value:
Cause of fault:
(If nominal value is not
attained)
If electric co-driver's seat adjustment is also not okay:
· Check fuse F5
OK
· Fuse F5 defective
If co-driver's seat adjustment is also not okay and fuse F5
is okay:
· Ignition OFF
· Remove fuse F5
· Using multimeter, measure voltage at
fuse socket F5
higher than 11.5 V
· Lead interruption between fuse F5 and
Ter. 30, battery voltage
· Disconnect battery negative terminal
· Release wiring harness connection X1
and disconnect
· Insert fuse F5 again
· Connect battery negative terminal
· Using multimeter, measure voltage at
X1/ Ter. 50
higher than 11.5 V
· Lead interruption between F5 and X1/
Ter. 50
· Lead interruption between X1/
Ter. 50 and derivation for driver's seat/ co-driver's seat
If new fuse F5 blows again:
· Disconnect battery negative terminal
· Disconnect F5
· Release wiring harness connection X1
and disconnect
· Connect battery negative terminal
· Using multimeter, measure resistance at
X1/ Ter. 50 to ground
higher than 200 kW
· Short circuit to ground in lead between
X1/ Ter. 50 and fuse F5
· Release 2-pin wiring harness connection
for voltage supply of electrically adjustable co-driver's seat and disconnect
from body wiring harness.
· Using multimeter, measure resistance in
2-pin wiring harness coupling between Ter. 1 and ground
higher than 200 kW
· Short circuit in body wiring harness
between X1/ Ter. 50 and 2-pin wiring harness connection for voltage
supply of electrically adjustable co-driver's seat
· Short circuit in body wiring harness
between X1/ Ter. 50 and control unit K103 in driver's seat
· Control unit K103 defective
If nominal value is attained
· Short circuit in co-driver's seat
If electric co-driver's seat adjustment is okay:
· Ignition OFF, disconnect battery
negative terminal
· Remove driver's seat
· Release 8-pin plug and remove from
control unit K103
· Using multimeter, measure voltage at
8-pin plug Ter. 1
higher than 11.5 V
· Interruption in body wiring harness
between X1/ Ter. 50 and 8-pin control unit plug Ter. 1
If nominal value is attained
· Control unit K103 defective
