·   Using multimeter, measure voltage:

     from:    wiring harness plug P63/Ter. 3

     to:         wiring harness plug P63/Ter. 4

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

     from:    wiring harness plug P63/Ter. 2

     to:         wiring harness plug K37/Ter. 13

Press one infrared transmitter button

 

 

Note:

 

If TECH 1 displays UNKNOWN, the actuated infrared transmitter is either not programmed or is not authorised for the vehicle.

 

 

Programming of infrared transmitter:

see F7:PROGRAMMING

 

If the system does not react, actuate button several times until system reacts.

 

 

Each time a button is pressed, the red LED in the infrared transmitter must illuminate (otherwise battery is flat).

Trouble-shooting if system does not react to any of the key transmitters:

 

 

·   Release and disconnect wiring harness plug P63 from infrared receiver

 

 

·   Using multimeter, measure resistance :

approx. 0 W

·   Body wiring harness, interruption

     from:    P63/Ter. 3

     to:         ground

 

 

·   Using multimeter, measure voltage:

approx. 12 V

·   Fuse F12

 

 

·   Body wiring harness, interruption

     from:    P63/Ter. 1

     to:         X1/Ter. 48

 

 

·   Switch on ignition

 

 

 

approx. 12 V

 

 

 

·   Fuse F15

 

 

·   Body wiring harness, interruption

     from:    P63/Ter. 4

     to:         X1/Ter. 49

 

 

·   Switch off ignition

 

 

·   Release and disconnect wiring harness plug K37 from CDLS control unit

 

 

·   Using multimeter, measure resistance:

approx. 0 W

·   Body wiring harness, interruption

     from:    P63/Ter. 2

     to:         K37/Ter. 13

 

If nominal values are attained:

 

·   P63 defective

 

 

·   K37 defective
