Ignition OFF

 

 

All doors closed

 

 

Turn key 30° to the left in driver's door (central locking unlocked and anti-theft device switched off)

 

 

Press key F5 in the TECH 1 main menu, select the desired test using the arrow keys and confirm with YES. Follow the instructions in the TECH 1 display.

After actuating the YES key again, a signal can be switched from the central locking to the electronic Infrared immobiliser:

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Arrow key UP -> signal "electronic infrared immobiliser" active

 

 

ACTIVE

 

 

 

 

Arrow key DOWN -> signal "electronic infrared immobiliser" inactive

 

 

The check is completed after a maximum of 30 s.

 

INACTIVE

 

 

Notes on Trouble-shooting:

·   Release and disconnect wiring harness plug K94 or K117 from control unit for anti-theft warning system or immobiliser

 

 

·   Activate immobiliser by pressing TECH 1 arrow key

 

 

·   Using multimeter, measure voltage

0 volts

·   Body wiring harness, interruption

     from:    K37/Ter. 9

     to:         X1/Ter. 68

 

 

·   Instrument panel wiring harness, interruption

     from:    X1/Ter. 68

     to:         K94/Ter. 35 or K117/Ter. 35

 

 

·   Control unit K37 defective

 

 

·   Disarm immobiliser by pressing TECH 1 arrow key

 

 

·   Using multimeter, measure voltage

5 volts

·   Body wiring harness, short circuit to ground

     from:    K37/Ter. 9

     to:         X1/Ter. 68

 

 

·   Instrument panel wiring harness, short circuit to ground

     from:    X1/Ter. 68

     to:         K94/Ter. 34 or K117/Ter. 34

 

 

·   Control unit K37 defective

 

 

If nominal values are attained:

 

·   Control unit K94 or K117 defective
