IMMOBILISATION

Only vehicles with infrared remote control:

Ignition OFF

All doors closed

Open driver's door once and close again

Carry out the following test within two minutes

Centre button of infrared key transmitter not depressed

(central door locking system unlocked)

INACTIVE 5V

Depress centre button of infrared key transmitter once and release again

(central door locking system locked)

ACTIVE   0V

LED of electronic

immobilizer flashes

On vehicles with ATWS, observe the relevant notes in test step 13

Depress centre button of infrared key transmitter once again and release again

(central door locking system unlocked)

INACTIVE 5V

Note:

If the TECH 1 displays ACTIVE 0V before the first test step, the electronic immobilizer is still armed.

It may also be necessary to depress the centre button several times (twice or three times) for the above test steps before the system reacts.

Ensure that a programmed infrared key transmitter is used (see test steps 21 and 22).

The red LED in the infrared key transmitter must illuminate every time the button is depressed (if not, this means that the batteries are flat).
