Motors
The motors for unlocking the doors, luggage compartment lid, tailgate and the fuel tank flap are protected against overloads. To avoid excessive heating of the serve motors caused by continuous operation, the function of the control unit is blocked for approx. 30 sec. if the motors are actuated several times within a brief period of time.
If not all motors switch evenly when locking is attempted, the control unit unlocks the units again. This informs the driver that central locking was incorrectly performed. If a defective serve motor is the cause of the unlocking, the unlocking function is ignored after 5 attempts. For safety reasons, this unlocking function is not performed when the inner lock knobs are actuated.
