Control Unit with Crash Sensor > < F5: ACTUATOR TEST - No. 01 UNLOCK/LOCK

Central Door Locking System CDLS   Quick Check FS: ACTUATOR TEST

 

UNLOCK / DEADL.

 

Conditions for Checking

Nominal Value

Affected Terminals:                    22, 25

Possible Trouble Codes:             -

 

Ignition OFF

Electronic immobilizer must be switched off (if necessary, switch off using centre button of infrared key transmitter; only vehicles with infrared remote control)

All doors closed

 

Turn key in driver's door 30° to the left (vehicle with LHD) 1 right (vehicle with RHD) (central door locking system unlocked and anti - theft warning system switched off)

 

Press F5 in the system main menu, select desired test with the arrow keys and confirm with YES. Follow the instructions in the TECH 1 display.

After pressing the YES key again, the central door locking system can be switched between the "unlocked" and "anti - theft device switched on" positions using the arrow keys:

 

Arrow key DOWN - > switch on anti - theft device

 

briefly to DEADLOCK, then again INACTIVE anti - theft device switched on

arrow key Up - > central door locking system unlocked

 

The test is completed after a maximum of 30 s.

Note:

To avoid excessive heat build - up in the actuators caused by constant actuation, there is a pause after repeated actuations over a short period of time (typically approx. 12 actuations in quick sequence) (TECH 1 parameter OVERFLOW PROTEC. indicates ACTIVE). The control unit function is interrupted during this period of time.
