· Check thickness of brake pads:
|
OK
|
· Replace disc brake pads
|
|
|
|
· Ignition ON. Release and disconnect
wiring harness connection for brake pads sensor P27 (front left):
|
OPEN 12V
|
· Lead from 26-pin MID wiring harness
plug Ter. 19 via X1 to P27 has short circuit to ground
|
|
|
|
· Jumper contacts in MID side of wiring
harness plug for P27 and connect to ground:
|
GROUND 0V
|
· Lead from 26-pin MID wiring harness
plug Ter. 19 via X1 to P27 is interrupted
|
|
|
|
· Measure resistance of P27:
|
lower than 2 W
|
· Sensor lead in brake pad P27 defective
|
|
|
|
· Connect wiring harness connection of
P27 again and release and disconnect connection of P28:
|
OPEN 12V
|
· Lead from P27 to P28 has short circuit
to ground
|
|
|
|
· Jumper contacts in MID side of wiring
harness plug for P28 and connect to ground:
|
GROUND 0V
|
· Lead from P27 to P28 is interrupted
|
|
|
|
· Measure resistance of P28:
|
lower than 2 W
|
· Sensor lead in brake pad P28 defective
|
|
|
|
· Remove jumper and additional ground
lead from wiring harness plug P28 again
|
|
|
· Check resistance of ground lead from
P28 to ground:
|
lower than 2 W
|
· Ground lead from wiring harness plug
P28 is interrupted
|
|
|
|
· Connect plug connection for P28 again
|
|
· Short circuit to + battery voltage in
lead connection from 26-pin MID wiring harness plug Ter. 19 via X1 to P27,
P28
|
|
|
· MID defective
|
|
|
|
|
|
