Brake lamp OFF

· Measure voltage between 26-pin MID
wiring harness plug Ter. 18 and ground:

lower than 1 V
|
· Lead from bulb control P25/Ter. 8
to H9 has short circuit to + battery voltage
|
|
|
· Lead from bulb control P25/Ter. 16
to H10 has short circuit to + battery voltage
|
|
|
· Lead from bulb control P25/Ter. 2
to trailer bulb control P39 has short circuit to + battery voltage
|
· Actuate brake pedal and measure voltage
between 26-pin MID wiring harness plug Ter. 18 and ground:
|
Brake lamp ON
|
|
|
briefly higher than 1 V
|
· Check brake lamps H9 and H10
|
|
|
· Lead between brake lamp switch S8 and
P25/Ter. 12 or P39/Ter. 54E is interrupted
|
|
|
· Lead between P25/Ter. 8 and H9 or
between P25/Ter. 16 and H10 or between P39/Ter. 54A and trailer brake lamps
is interrupted
|
|
|
· Lead between H9 or H10 or trailer brake
lamps and ground is interrupted
|
|
|
· Lead between P25/Ter. 2 or P39/Ter. K
and 26-pin MID wiring harness plug Ter. 18 is interrupted
|
|
|
· Lead between P25/Ter. 2 or P39/Ter. K
and 26-pin MID wiring harness plug Ter. 18 has short circuit to ground
|
|
|
· Bulb control P25/Ter. 5 or P39/Ter. 31
has no ground connection
|
|
|
|
|
|
If nominal
values are attained:

· MID defective
