·   The MID control unit recognizes a voltage greater than 4.77 V at the "ambient temperature" input

     (short circuit to battery voltage or interruption in the circuit)

·   The fault is stored directly on recognition

Effects:

·   The ambient temperature display is blocked and the first MID display shows "F".
