Cause of Fault:

(If nominal value is not attained)

·   Check washer fluid level

OK

·   Top up washer fluid reservoir

·   Release and disconnect plug from washer fluid residue control switch S82

·   Ignition ON:

OPEN    12V

·   Lead from 12-pin MID wiring harness plug Ter. 10 to washer fluid residue control switch S82 has short circuit to ground

·   MID defective

·   Short-circuit contacts in disconnected plug from S82

CLOSED   0V

·   Lead from 12-pin MID wiring harness plug Ter. 10 to washer fluid residue control switch S82 is interrupted

·   Lead from S82 to ground is interrupted

·   MID defective

If nominal values are attained:

·   Switch S82 defective
