EEPROM test:

·   One area of the control unit EEPROM cannot be written or read

     The EEPROM is divided into the following areas:

     01. Nominal positions for personal key 1

     02. Nominal positions for personal key 2

     03. Nominal positions for personal key 3

     04. Fault memory

     05. End stops for seat motors

     06. End stops for mirror motors

     07. Constants area

     08. Variables and fault masks

     09. Contents of identification block

     10. Reserved area

 

Effect:

·   Areas 01 to 03

     Automatic adjustment for the relevant personal key is blocked

·   Area 04

     Readout of any stored trouble codes is not possible

·   Area 05

     The seat end stops are not monitored, i.e. the motors are not switched off when they reach their programmed end stops

·   Area 06

     The mirror end stops are not monitored

·   Area 07

Default values are used instead of the stored constants

 

Main relay monitor:

·   Despite actuation of the key and software actuation of one of the two main relays in the control unit, no contacts are recognised as being switched on

·   1.5 s after release of last key and software actuation of one of the two main relays in the control unit, one of the contacts is recognised as being not switched off

·   Above tests are performed after the main relays are switched on or off

 

 

Effect:

·   No actuation of seat motors
