Radio SC 804CDC with External Display and CD Changer

 

 

Vehicles:

 

Corsa-B, Astra-F, Omega-B

 

 

Condition:

 

With the new radio units of type SC 804CDC (as of Production calendar week 10/1994) it is possible also to operate a CD changer in conjunction with the DID/TID/MID of the Corsa-B or Astra-F. To determine whether the radio allows this option, press the Dolby button for longer than 5 seconds. If the display "PASS-D54" appears for a period of 1 second, the new version is present.

 

 

With previous radios, the display "B959-D44" appears. Should this be the case, a CD changer must not be connected in conjunction with  the DID/TID/MID of the Corsa-B or Astra-F, otherwise incorrect or distorted displays will result.

 

 

The new version of radio can be adjusted to the given display type. The radio is supplied set to the Omega-B display type.

 

 

Adjustment to the display:

 

·   Radio OFF

 

·   Keep keys "4" and "6" pressed, switch on radio and keep keys "4" and "6" pressed a further 3 seconds.

 

 

Note: the tone signals adjustment to the given display.

 

 

·   Single tone: set to display of Corsa-B/Astra-F (example, upper illus.).

 

·   Double tone: set to display of Omega-B (example, lower illus.).

 

 

The radio then returns to normal operation.
