Detach wiring harness plug - see operation "Wiring Harness - Tailgate, Remove and Install, Model F35" in group "N". Hose for windscreen wiper nozzle, lift retaining clip and press gas lifter spring from ball socket (1). Release hinge pin and remove (2). Remove tailgate (2 mechanics).
Install, Connect
Tailgate - insert and secure hinge pins, gas lifter spring, screen washer nozzle hose, wiring harness plug.
Notice:
Grease hinge pin with High-Pressure Grease 90 510 336 / 19 48 606.
Install, Connect
Adjust gap dimensions acc. to specifications at:
