Explanation of Time Allowances - Paint Stages I, II, II a, II b and III

The previously familiar painting stages I, II and III apply for painting individual parts.

•  For blending (blending system), painting stage II a applies.

•  For touching-up (blending system) painting stage II b applies.

Painting stages II a and II b correspond to painting stage II.

Only use drift-in painting / blend-in painting with two-coat paint systems.

Paint systems

•  2-coat solid paint systems

•  2-coat metallic paint systems

•  2-coat mica-effect paint systems

As a result of the incorporation of the blending system, the paint systems are extended to include "drift-in painting" and "blend-in painting". These systems are used to achieve optimum colour-matching with solvent-based paint and preparation materials for 2-coat paint systems.
