Side Protective Trim Strips
To prevent bagatelle damage, the doors and wings are fitted with side protective trim strips, made out of PP plastic with a metal lining. All protective trim strips are fastened with two adhesive strips (3). They are positioned using cast clips (4). The clips also perform a fastening function. There are two different versions for the front doors:
1 with recess for clipped-in lettering (e.g. CDX) 2 without recess
• Service The protective trim strips are designed with a gap at the edges to the body of 0.8 mm/0.03 in. (section 1-1). For partial painting, this gap means that they can be masked. |
