Front Wheel Suspension, Wheels and Tyres  

Repair Information  

On removal of the vehicle wheels, note position to wheel hub. This mark must be taken into account on installation. Always tighten wheel bolts with a torque of 110 Nm / 81 lbf. ft. On installation, no dirt may be located between brake disc and wheel bearing. The contact surfaces must be plane and free of burrs.  

Before disconnecting the vehicle battery in Vauxhall vehicles, the power sounder must be disarmed: disconnect vehicle battery within 15 seconds of switching off the ignition.  

Before measuring axle alignment, check the position of the front axle body with KM-905, and readjust if necessary.  

When disposing of brake fluid the relevant environmental protection regulations apply.  

Before processing adhesives and sealants, etc. check the expiry date. Never process products which have passed their expiry date.  

 

 

Repair Information (Continued)  

Special service tools are available via the "Opel/Vauxhall Special Service Tools" catalogue, other necessary tools and equipment via the "Opel/Vauxhall Workshop Equipment" catalogue.  

Wiring harnesses and wiring troughs, which have to be loosened or removed during repair work, must be refastened in their original positions using original service parts (cable straps, clips, wiring trough brackets, etc.).  

Fastening bolts which are fitted using the torque and angle method (beyond the elastic limit) must not be reused in Service after they have been released.
