Special service tools required:
Measuring bridge KM-301, dial gauge MKM-571-B
Caution
Before checking, carefully remove gasket residues from cylinder
head sealing surface. Sharp-edged metal tools must not be used for
cleaning. Ensure that cylinder head sealing surface is not
damaged.
Inspect
Position measuring bridge KM-301 (1) on cleaned sealing surface,
insert dial gauge MKM-571-B (2) under pretension, fasten and adjust
dial to Zero.
Assemble
If the valve projection cannot be determined, the extension
provided should be inserted between dial gauge shaft and probe.

Inspect
Position dial gauge MKM-571-B (2) with measuring bridge KM-301
(1) carefully over the swirl chamber. Position probe of dial gauge
on outside edge of swirl chamber. Measure at four points spaced out
evenly from one another.
Procedure
If only one dimension is not within the tolerance range, recut
seating surface in cylinder head using a commercially available
cutter.

Install
Slightly loosened swirl chambers can be reused. These can be
inserted with grease (acid-free) to prevent them from falling out.
The grease is completely burned when the engine is started.
