Crankshaft Pulse Pick-up, Remove and Install  

  Remove, Disconnect   

Remove front toothed belt cover - see operation "Front Toothed Belt Cover, Remove and Install (16 LZ2 and 20 NEJ).  

Disconnect wiring harness plug (1) for crankshaft pulse pickup.  

Version with air conditioning: Remove auxiliary component bracket - see operation "Auxiliary Component Bracket, Remove and Install (with Air Conditioning)".   Version without air conditioning: remove front right engine damping block - see operation "Engine Damping Block, Front, Remove and Install". Remove engine damping block bracket from cylinder block.   Remove crankshaft pulse pick-up cable out of rear toothed belt cover - note cable routing.   Remove crankshaft pulse pick-up (2) with seal ring from cylinder block.

  Install, Connect   

Attach crankshaft pulse pick-up with new seal ring to cylinder block - tightening torque 6 Nm / 4 lbf. ft.   Insert crankshaft pulse pick-up cable (1) in rear toothed belt cover - note cable routing.   Version without air conditioning: attach engine damping block bracket to cylinder block - 60 Nm / 44 lbf. ft. Install front right engine damping block - see operation "Engine Damping Block, Front, Remove and Install".   Version with air conditioning: Install auxiliary component bracket - see operation "Auxiliary Component Bracket, Remove and Install (with Air Conditioning)".   Connect wiring harness plug for crankshaft pulse pickup.   Install front toothed belt cover - see operation "Front Toothed Belt Cover, Remove and Install (16 LZ2 and 20 NEJ)".
