Camshaft Housing Front Seal Ring, Replace
 Remove
|
|
Remove toothed belt - see operation "Toothed Belt, Remove and
Install (X 16 SZR)" or "Toothed Belt, Remove and Install (16 LZ2
and 20 NEJ)".
Slacken fixing bolts (3) of KM-6347 (1)
Insert KM-6347, together with KM-956-1 (2), into camshaft pulley
- ensure it is seated correctly.
Note: Grooves of
KM-6347 (arrows) must engage in camshaft pulley.
Turn KM-6347 in direction of arrow and tighten fixing bolts.
Slacken fastening bolt of camshaft pulley (4).
Slacken fixing bolts of KM-6347 and remove KM-6347. Remove
fastening bolt of camshaft pulley and take off camshaft pulley.
Edge out seal ring with suitable tool - ensure that sealing
surfaces are not damaged.

Install
Lightly coat sealing lip of the new seal ring with silicon
grease (white).
Press seal ring into camshaft housing with KM-422 (3) - use
fastening bolt and washer of camshaft pulley.
Install
Attach fastening bolt of camshaft pulley - do not tighten.
Insert KM-6347, together with KM-956-1, into camshaft pulley -
ensure it is seated correctly.
Note: Grooves of
KM-6347 must engage in camshaft pulley.
Turn KM-6347 and tighten fixing bolts. Tighten fastening bolt of
camshaft pulley - tightening torque 45 Nm.
Install toothed belt - see operation "Toothed Belt, Remove and
Install (X 16 SZR)" or "Toothed Belt, Remove and Install (16 LZ2
and 20 NEJ)".
Install toothed belt - see operation "Toothed Belt, Remove and
Install (X 16 SZR)" or "Toothed Belt, Remove and Install (16 LZ2
and 20 NEJ)".
