Oil Pan, Remove and Install (X 16 SZR with AC) > < Bypass Valve, Replace

Seal Ring - Front Crankshaft, Replace  

Object Number: 616191 Size: DEFAULT  Remove, Disconnect   

Remove toothed belt - see operation "Toothed Belt, Remove and Install (X 16 SZR)" or "Toothed Belt, Remove and Install (16 LZ2 and 20 NEJ)".  

For X 16 SZR: Remove toothed belt drive gear from crankshaft - note installation position.  

For 16 LZ2 and 20 NEJ: Remove toothed belt drive gear - counterhold with KM-662-C (1).  

Edge out crankshaft seal ring (2) from oil pump with suitable tool - ensure that the sealing surfaces are not damaged.

Object Number: 616192 Size: DEFAULT  Install, Connect   

Lightly coat sealing lip of seal ring with silicon grease (white).  

Insert new seal ring into oil pump - press into oil pump, for X 16 SZR wit KM-417, for 16 LZ2 and 20 NEJ with KM-693-A (1) - use fastening bolt and washer of toothed belt drive gear.  

For X 16 SZR: Place toothed belt drive gear on crankshaft - ensure correct installation position.  

For 16 LZ2 and 20 NEJ: Install toothed belt drive gear - counterhold with KM-662-C. Attach toothed belt drive gear to crankshaft with new fastening bolt - tightening torque 130 Nm / 96 lbf. ft. + 40 ° to 50 ° .  

Install toothed belt - see operation "Toothed Belt, Remove and Install (X 16 SZR)" or "Toothed Belt, Remove and Install (16 LZ2 and 20 NEJ)".
