Repair Instructions  

The service operations are described for LHD vehicles. Separate information will be given pertaining to characteristic features of RHD vehicles.  

All hose clamps in the hydraulic system are tightened to 2.5 Nm / 2 lbf. ft.  

The power steering gear is maintenance-free. Dealer workshops do not need to overhaul or disassemble.  

Before disconnecting vehicle battery in Opel/Vauxhall vehicles, the power sounder must be disarmed: disconnect battery within 15 seconds after switching off ignition.  

Check the expiry date before working with adhesives and sealing agents, etc. Never work with products with lapsed expiry dates.  

 

 

Repair Information (Continued)  

Special Service Tools are available from the "Opel/Vauxhall Special Service Tools" catalogue, all other necessary tools and equipment are available from the "Opel/Vauxhall Workshop Equipment" catalogue.  

Wiring harnesses and wiring troughs, which have to be released or removed during repair work, must be refastened in their original places using genuine Aftersales parts (cable straps, clips, wiring trough brackets, etc.).

The mechanic is responsible for ensuring that all operations are carried out according to the regulations of the local authorities concerning health, accident prevention and environmental protection.  

For hydraulic system fluid filling, use Special Fluid DEXRON ® II.  

It is not permitted to re-use drained fluid.
