Steering Gear Bellows on Steering Gear, Replace
 Remove, Disconnect Remove front axle body - see operation "Front Axle Body, Remove and Install" in group "E".
 Measure Before removing tie rod end, measure exposed thread length (2).
Remove, Disconnect Release lock nut and remove tie rod end (1) from tie rod. Release retaining bands and remove bellows (3) from tie rod and from steering gear housing. |

 Install, Connect Slide new bellows over tie rod and fasten with new retaining straps to steering gear and tie rod.
 Important! Ensure that bellows sits in groove (1) on tie rod side.
Install, Connect Install tie rod end on tie rod and counterhold with nut - tightening torque 60 Nm / 44 lbf. ft. Note pre-measured exposed thread length. Install front axle body - see operation "Front Axle Body, Remove and Install" in group "E".
 Inspect Check camber and toe-in, and adjust if necessary - see operation "Camber, Caster and Toe-in, Check" in group "E". |
