Electronic Cruise Control  

A new, common control unit will be used in the future for the electronic cruise control in petrol-engined Vectra-B and Omega-B vehicles. In vehicles with diesel engines, the cruise control is integrated into the engine control unit.

In service cases for vehicles with petrol engines, the control unit for the cruise control must be programmed with TECH 2. The various program codes can be entered to define the vehicle type and engine version.  
In the new diesel engines, the function switches for the cruise control (in the turn signal lever) are actuated differently than in the familiar X 25 DT. The turn signal levers are therefore not interchangeable. In service cases, consult the information in the parts microfiche.
