Switch off ignition.

If the specification is not obtained:

Check oxygen sensor wiring.

If the specification is obtained:

-

Replace O2S Behind TWC -G130-, item 11

-

Check DTC memory, if necessary, repair any malfunctions and then erase DTC memory, checking and erasing DTC memory. Refer to
"Displaying, Reading and Erasing Trouble Codes/With Manufacturers Scan Tool/DTC Memory, Checking And Erasing", See: Testing and
Inspection

Read-out the readiness code. If the DTC memory has been erased or the engine control module was disconnected from permanent positive, the
readiness code must be generated again.

Checking oxygen sensor wiring, oxygen sensor 2

Remove inner plenum chamber cover, left:

-

Connect test box V.A.G 1598/31 to control module wiring harness. The engine control module is not connected by this action.

Check wiring for open circuit between test box and 4-pin connector to Motronic control module using wiring diagram.
-

Contact 3 + socket 68

-

Contact 4 + socket 69 

Wire resistance: Max. 1.5 Ohms

-

Check wiring at connector contacts 3 + 4 for short circuit to contacts 1 + 2 using wiring diagram.
Specification: Infinity Ohms
