Transmission Drive Range signal, checking
The Engine Control Module (ECM) receives the following information from the Transmission Control Module (TCM):
Drive range selected (Range selector lever in 1/2/3/R/D)
or
No Drive range selected (Range selector lever in P or N)
Special tools, workshop equipment, testers, measuring instruments and auxiliary items required

Requirements

Automatic Transmission Range selector lever must be in "P" or "N" position.
