The ECM stores these learned values in permanent memory. The Throttle will then be prepared to locate itself in the start position.

Check specifications (Display fields 1 to 4)

NOTE:

If the ECM "Basic setting" is interrupted, the cause could be among the following:

-

Throttle valve cannot reach the mechanical stop because of contamination e.g. oil deposits or an incorrectly adjusted Throttle cable.

Battery Voltage too low.

Throttle Control Module or wiring faulty. Checking. See: Testing and Inspection 

After Function 04 termination, DTC codes "17967, 17972 or 17973" will be stored in DTC memory. When the ignition is switched ON, the "Basic
setting" Function will automatically be performed again.

To terminate Function 04: "Basic setting"

NOTE:  Once Function 04 has been initiated, you must wait for a minimum of 30 seconds before terminating the Basic setting Function.
