Throttle drive G186 and Throttle drive angle sensor G187, continuation

Disconnect harness connector -1- from Throttle Control Module -2-.

-

Measure Throttle Drive resistance between connector terminals 7 + 8.
-

Specification: 3 to 200 Ohms

-

Check Voltage supply of Throttle Control Module and wiring to Control Module.

If no malfunction detected

-

Replace Throttle Control Module J338.

-

Match Engine Control Module to Throttle Control Module. 

Throttle Position sensor G69, checking

Requirements

Engine Coolant Temperature must be 85 °C minimum See Display group 04, Display field 3

Test sequence

-

Connect VAG 1551/1552 Scan Tool. See: Computers and Control Systems/Testing and Inspection/Reading and Clearing Diagnostic Trouble
Codes/Scan Tool Connecting

Switch ON ignition.

-

Press 0 and 1 buttons to select "Engine Electronics" address word 01.
