Set multimeter to measure Voltage and connect to terminals 1 and 2 on connector to Control Module.

Start engine and let idle.

Measure Voltage supply and note Display group 41, Display field 4.
Display Heater after Three Way Catalyst ON

Specification: 11.0 to 14.5 Volts.
Display Heater: after Three Way Catalyst ON/Heating after Three Way Catalyst OFF (alternating):

Specification: Between 0.0 to 12.0 Volts fluctuating

Switch OFF ignition.
If no Voltage present
-
Connect VAG 1598/22 Test Box to ECM harness connector.
