If specification not obtained or display does not change

Connect VAG 1598/22 Test Box to ECM wiring harness.

-

Check wiring for open circuit between Test Box sockets 29 and 41 and TCM using Wiring diagram. (dia. 1999)

Check wiring for open circuit between Test Box sockets 29 and 42 and TCM using Wiring diagram. (2000 dia.)
-

Wire resistance: 1.5 Ohms maximum

If wiring OK:

-

Replace TCM.

If malfunction occurs again after replacing TCM

-

Replace ECM.
