Remove bolts -1- and -2-.

Move power steering fluid reservoir to the side (do not disconnect lines).

Remove bolt -3- and remove battery hold- down bracket.

Carefully slide battery with insulation enclosure -A- to the left, and lift from engine compartment.

Installing

To be sure the battery seats securely, only install batteries with a 10.5 mm battery foot strip and adhere to the following work sequences:

Install battery with insulation enclosure so lug of battery carrier (arrow) engages in battery groove -1-.

-

It must not be possible to move the battery to the left or to the right.
