Starter Motor: Service and Repair
1.
Disconnect battery ground cable.
2.
Disconnect electrical leads from starter solenoid.
3.
Remove starter mounting bolts, then the starter.
4.
Reverse procedure to install. Torque mounting bolts to 43 ft. lbs on manual transmissions and 14 ft. lbs. on automatic transmissions.
