Replace Fuel Hose and Clamps

Dear Volkswagen Corrado Owner:

This notice is sent to you in accordance with the requirements of the National Traffic and Motor Vehicle Safety Act. Volkswagen has determined that a
defect which relates to motor vehicle safety exists in some 1990 through some early production 1992 model Volkswagen Corrado vehicles. Our records
show that your car is one of the vehicles involved in this recall action.

Defect Description

Volkswagen has found that the hose material of a fuel hose attached to the fuel distribution rail located in the engine compartment may settle more than
the existing hose clamp can compensate for. This may lead to occasional fuel seepage at the hose connection. Escaping fuel could come in contact with
hot engine components and possibly cause an engine compartment fire.

Remedy

Your Volkswagen retailer will install a new fuel hose including new fuel hose clamps.

Your Action

Please contact the service manager of your authorized Volkswagen retail facility for an appointment as soon as possible. The necessary work will take
approximately one half hour and will, of course, be free of charge. Necessary instructions and replacement parts have been shipped and are available at
