^ after entering address word "02" read either 1551 display window and/or printer tape noting ECU identification.

^ Digimat EPROM level is the four digit number after the word "DIGIMAT" of the identification

^ with Digimat EPROM level of less than 0508 installed, use temperature tester VAG 1558 or equivalent, to establish temperature of ATF

^ must be: approximately 60°C (140°F)

^ with Digimat EPROM level of 0508 or higher, use VAG 1551 tester, use "read measuring value block" program 08, group 05, channel 1, to establish

temperature of ATF 

^ must be 60°C to 80°C 

(140°F to 176°F)

^ check ATF level on dipstick and add or remove ATF fluid until fluid is between Min. and Max. marks on dipstick

Note

Use FLUID EVACUATOR EX1 to remove excess ATF from the transmission.
