Corrado V6-2792cc 2.8L DOHC (1992)
Ignition Cable: Description and Operation
Spark Plug Wire
PURPOSE
The ignition wires provide an electrical circuit to conduct the sparking energy from the distributor cap to the spark plug.
LOCATION
The ignition wires are connected between their respective cap terminal and the corresponding spark plug.
CONSTRUCTION
The VR6 uses low resistance wire with an auxiliary resistor built into the connector of the wire end. The auxiliary resistor provides high resistance
to reduce radio static interference from the ignition system. It also reduces the possibility of induced voltages in the engine electrical harness that
might cause false signals in sensor circuits.
