Production Change
Effective with production date of February 1991, the automatic transmission ATF filter has been eliminated.
Service
During Pre-Delivery Inspection remove the transmission ATF filter and install new 0-ring and banjo bolt, also remove the maintenance booklet insert for
ATF filter, Part No. 901 552 147 94
On vehicles which are now in service, the ATF filter and insert for the maintenance booklet are to be removed during the next maintenance service and
the banjo bolt, and O-ring installed.
CAUTION
Part numbers are for reference only. Always check with your Parts Department for latest information.
ATF filter, Removing
^ wrap workshop cloth (A) around ATF filter, loosen filter slightly
^ allow ATF to flow back into transmission
^ remove ATF filter, Part No. 096 409 091 (1) and discard
