Hood Sensor/Switch (For Alarm): Service and Repair

Front Hood Switch F266, Removing And Installing 

Removing: 

-

Switch off ignition, switch off all electrical components and remove ignition key.

-

Remove radiator grille.

-

Disconnect harness connector in the vicinity of the right headlamp -arrow-.

-

Unclip connector -1- in -direction of arrow- from lock carrier.

-

Unscrew mounting bolts -2- (12 Nm) and unclip wiring harness at mounting points -3-.

-

Remove lid lock from lock carrier.

NOTE:  Bowden cable may remain connected to the lid lock.

Disengage retaining tab -1- and slide Front Hood Switch F266 in -direction of arrow-.

-

Remove contact switch from lid lock.

Installing: 
Install in reverse order of removal.
