Dome Lamp: Service and Repair

Interior Light 

The following components are integrated into the interior light:

-

Left Interior Light W16

-

Left Ambient Illumination LED L181

-

Right Interior Light W17

-

Right Ambient Illumination LED L182

-

Telephone Microphone R38

NOTE:  The interior lights as well as the front interior light switches are permanently connected to each other. In the event of malfunction, the
entire assembly must be replaced.

Interior light, removing and installing 

Special tools, testers and auxiliary items required 

-

Removal wedge VAS 3409 or

-

Wedge T10039/1

NOTE:  When removing and installing components in a visible area (switches, covers, trim, etc.), mask off the areas at which a prying tool ( trim
removal wedge VAS 3409, screwdriver) will be positioned, using commercially available adhesive tape.

Removing: 

-

Turn off the ignition and all electrical components.
